Research & Projects
My work revolves around developing AI-driven solutions for medical imaging, with a strong focus on clinical applications in oncology. Throughout my PhD, I’ve tackled diverse challenges, from segmenting lung lobes in CT scans to predicting treatment response in breast cancer and automating brain tumor and lymphoma lesion segmentation. Technical Contributions
Beyond my research, I also dedicate time to developing technical solutions that support the medical AI community. I’ve actively contributed to MONAI and nnU-Net, helping to advance open-source tools for medical imaging. In addition, I developed PyMAIA, my own Python package for general medical image processing routines. PyMAIA is designed to streamline common workflows, making it easier for researchers and practitioners to work with medical imaging data. What started as a personal side project has evolved into a core component of my PhD research.
